ANFO

ANFO is a powder explosive obtained from a homogen and effective mixture of 94,3 % porous prilled ammonium nitrate and 5,7 % fuel oil by weight mixed at a factory. Nowadays, diesel oil is used instead of fuel oil.

BOOSTER SENSITIVE EXPLOSIVES

Booster sensitive explosives requires a capsule sensitive explosive (i.e. dynamite) in order to be blasted. They can not be blasted directly. There are two types of booster sensitive explosives:

• ANFO
• Emulsion ANFO
